What should you do when you no longer can afford necessary treatment after your accident?

One of the realities of being injured in a car or slip and fall accident is that you need treatment – often a lot of it. Your insurance company will pay for a very limited number of treatments before they cut you off (either as a result of ridiculously low levels of benefits, e.g. $250 for massage, or by sending you to ‘their’ doctor who will invariably say ‘take two aspirin and you’ll be fine’). There are also treatment providers that have too ‘cozy’ a relationship with insurance companies you might want to steer clear of – we can help you avoid them.

I’ve often received clients who are unable to work as a result of their injuries, making it that much more difficult to afford treatment. One of the benefits of coming to see us for help with you personal injury claim is to gain access to a variety of treatment providers who will treat you on an ‘assignment of proceeds’. What that means is that the treatment providers will run a ‘tab’ and won’t bill you for their services until you settle your claim. This frees you up to get the treatment you need, when you need it, allowing you to recover from your injuries faster.
